February 22, 2025, Solarian will host the first James Carpio Memorial Golden Fez Awards at TotalCon 39 in Marlborough, MA. The awards will be presented during the game convention and livestreamed through our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Nominations for Golden Fez awards are open now. The deadline for nominations is December 31st, 2024.
To submit your game for consideration, email hello@solariangames.com with the subject line “Golden Fez awards nomination.”
Please include a PDF of your game for the judges to review. If you would like to submit a physical copy of your game, just mention it in your email and we will give you a mailing address to send it to. (PDFs and physical copies will be given equal treatment, there is no advantage to sending in a physical copy!)
All games are eligible for all categories, but if you feel your game should be considered for any categories in particular, please say so in your email.

The Holy Hand Grenade Award for best new game mechanic
The Pick Up & Play Award for easiest game to learn
The Velvet Smooth Award for best design & production
The Everlasting Fun Factory Award for best game published prior to 2024
The Forge of Destiny Award for worldbuilding
The Hack The Planet Award for most unexpected idea
The Bucket of Blood Award for best combat rules
The Golden Fez Game of the Year Award
